Statement of Support for Immigrants in Clark County
“I want my community to be known as a place that welcomes immigrants of all backgrounds and faiths. While I recognize and support reasonable steps to ensure our national security, I also stand opposed to all forms of communication and policy that fail to recognize the human dignity and innate value of our global neighbors, especially those fleeing hardship, violence, poverty and persecution. We welcome these individuals to our community. We want elected officials at all levels to work toward bipartisan solutions that honor and respect the needs of the immigrants and refugees who have come to our nation and to Clark County, Ohio.”
